CONSULTATION TIMES

Consultations are held at both surgeries from 8.30am to 12 noon, 2.45 to 3.30pm and 4.30 to 5.45pm, Monday to Friday.

All the doctors have consultations at both surgeries on a rota system. The reception staff will be able to inform you when the particular doctor you wish to see is available.

Many queries or minor problems can be dealt with by one of our practice nurses. You can make an appointment to see the nurse who is available at most surgery times.

OUT OF HOURS

When the surgeries are closed always ring the normal surgery number and listen to the whole of the recorded message. You will be offered to take one of the two choices:

Patients requiring a home visit or advice out of hours will be seen by a doctor who is a member of the Deputising Doctor Service (Care UK). They will discuss with you your condition and decide whether advice, a visit to the Primary Care Centre or a home visit is appropriate. The doctors out-of-hours service is in addition to their day time work, so please use this service with discretion.

NHS Direct:

Patients who have symptoms and need advice can contact NHS Direct. This is a service managed by highly trained nurses to give advice and assist in obtaining the treatment you may require. The number is 0845 4647. NHS Direct can also be accessed via our out-of-hours message system.
